Heerwa is a village situated under Tehsil – Buhana, District Jhunjhunu of the state of Rajasthan in India. Chirawa is the nearby town it is 9 KM North West of village Heerwa. The total population of Heerwa is approx. 4300 consisting Rajputs, Meghwals, Prajapats, Brahmins, Mishras, Yadavs, Muslims followed by other major socio-religious groups. Only Jat families are residing in the hamlets (Dhanis) but not in the main village limits.
The village is a Shekhawat Rajput Thikana under Khetri riyasat of erstwhile Rajputana agency. Heerwa was awarded to Thakur Pahad Singh who built the fort in year 1763 AD, only ruins are left of that magnificent Gadh once located in center of the village.
Heerwa was selected as an Ideal village (Adarsh Gaon) by the state government, thus facilities like Govt. School, Govt. Hospital, Veterinary Hospital are available in the village. Heerwa is directly connected to Chirawa and Khetri by road. The nearest Railway Station is Chirawa.
